Due to the demand of a number of people (1 is a number, right?), I've decided to keep track of my football bets in a single thread. I've been profitable in my last three years of keeping records, particularly in the Spanish Primera Liga and this is where most of my bets will come from.

The stakes I use are 0.5pts, 1pt, 2pts, 3pts, 4pts and 5pts, with 1pt being the standard bet.

Firstly, I made the following two top goalscorer bets at the start of the season (as posted here).

My main bet this weekend is on Sevilla to win at Athletic Bilbao. Sevilla have won their last three and are playing well. I don't like that Perotti is out injured but they have a strong enough squad to trouble most opposition. Bilbao have had a good start to the season but their results have been nothing special and playing against Sevilla is a step up in class. I think the away side are good value at a standout price of 6/4 from Betfred (generally 2.3 - 2.4 elsewhere).

Seems like I missed the better prices on Sevilla this evening but I'm still happy to take 10/11. A 0-0 draw is the most likely danger, so a saver bet on "no goalscorer" @ 10/1 wouldn't be amiss. Also, in case Sevilla have a stormer, I'm getting in early on them for next Sunday.

Cheers lads! Sevilla made it more nervy than it should have been with only a 2-1 win. They dominated the match but missed a host of gilt edged chances. Still, a pleasing weekend.
