I spent an hour on the Hennessy last night and was no wiser about the winner when i finished. I definitely couldnt get excited about the fav, Ontheropes, and as you would expect, it is definitely a no bet race for me.

Best of luck if you get involved.

Good luck mate, i'll shout it on for you. I just couldnt see anything really in the form that excited me. And i think its price is more down to potential than anything else and experience tells me that pricing up on potential is not the way to do it.

poor old mcnally - they really have it in for him!
To be honest, i dont really know what he is trying to achieve anymore. All this "we only had a few quid on" , "we were hopeful of a half decent run", I'm just having a bit of fun and its just a hobby. The kitchen business is my main concern", just doesnt wash with anybody anymore.

He can get one ready and has proved that he knows what he is doing. He knows how to play the system and does it well. But the point is, it cant last ! The more he lands these gambles, the more it puts people off and the integrity of racing is questioned even more than it normally is. And that cant be good.
Now i like a gamble as much as the next man and have been involved in a few down the years. But there are gambles and then there are occasions when they are just so blatant that it does piss people off. He must realise that this cant go on forever.
He is a character, of that there is no doubt, and racing needs characters. Racing is just so full of bluffers, gravy train riders who bring absolutely nothing to the table, wannabe's and people who go on as if they know everything when in fact they know very little. That is racing i'm afraid. But there are characters and then there are "characters". And i love the characters and wish there were many more. And i love watching his stable along with many others and will continue to do so. But i dont know where he is going or what he is trying to achieve. Does he fancy himself as the next "Barney" ???
I wish him well as i do everyone but i think he has a troublesome road ahead.

Vee Dancer goes in the first at Carlisle on Sunday off bottom weight and Dreal Deal runs in the following race, the novice chase.
Dont expect a big price on either.

I'm loading up my Hills account just in case they go big. Are they still usually first up?

They go up two days in advance on many occasions and will be betting on some of Sundays racing around teatime this afternoon. But for the life of me i dont know why. The obvious answer is that they are getting a cheap mark. But i dont know how many clues they want sometimes. They opened up 11/2 on All Class the other day and cut it to 9/2. Then they obviously took some more money and cut it to 4's. And then they got some more money and cut it to 7/2. Then they cut it to 3's. Then they cut it to 5/2. And then they cut it to 2/1.
How many fucking clues do they want for christs sake ?????!!!!! They actually went 7/4 later just to cap off a wonderful lesson on how NOT to cut a price.

    And it was returned 13/8

    Oh Ronan

First of all he has this morning entered Vee Dancer in five different races next Thursday spread over four different meetings. He has him entered in one race each at Market Rasen, Wincanton, Leicester and two at Clonmel.

And then just a couple of days after saying that All Class would have a break, he has entered her at Haydock next Wednesday and then in a race each at Leicester, Wincanton and Market Rasen next Thursday.
