I would think Mikmak will like the going today but up two furlongs is a bit of an unknown 20/1. 4.25.

Mikmak did the business twice in August and was crossed off the list a long time ago.
As were Countister, Sweet Flora, King Golan etc etc etc.

Thanks Q.C. Everything is fine here. Having a few winners, which is always good.
Hopefully....a few more today but.....Saturday is always a hard day to pick winners.
I think Voix Du Reve could go well today but my only concern is that he has not run for 177 days. Cheltenham 15-30pm
The horse has not won for a couple of years but won some nice races in Ireland.
If he retains any of that ability, I think he will lead today and run them into the ground.

The trainer is no mug mate, dont give up on it yet. You would be amazed at what a drop in its mark and a load of cash on its nose can do for the horse.

Some of you may have noticed a "discussion" i had with a "pundit" a week or so ago on twitter. It was only a short one because i got the impression i was talking to a nine year old or someone whose only bet was 10p e.w on the Grand National each year. I ended it because i couldnt believe his stupidity and naivety.

Just ignore them all. They are just like yourselves. They like racing and they like a bet. You wouldnt take any notice of a bloke you have never met who lives at the other end of your road. So why should you take any notice of these people ??
Its all bluff, nonsense, waffle, filler from people who like to think they are experts but nothing could be further from the truth.

I got some money on as soon as the prices came out but i know for a fact that others were backing it. Its an easy trade now but if i was certain that the horse was gonna run anything like i know it can i would still be getting on it now. This is the worst race he has ever run in and off the lowest mark it has ever had. Last time out was a bad race but this is even worse. There were seven horses rated 60 and above in that dire event last time out but in this race he is top rated off 59 !!!
He is obviously nowhere near as good as he was a few years ago when he got to a mark of 107. He was considered good enough to be sent to France three times and he won on two of those occasions.
Conditions are ideal and if the handbrake is off and the WD40 has been applied, it should have an happy ending.

I wasnt sure if anyone on here had the horse down. Memory and all that I can only think of this one and Arabic Culture that anyone might have. I've had a clear out and got some nice ones on the horizon.

Good luck if you are letting it ride. It was always going to be a trade for me but i'm hopeful. It has come down so much in the weights but that is obviously for a reason. But it is a fact that at least half of this field will never reach his current mark of 59 and i would lay any price you want that none of them will ever reach as high as even 70. The horse has obviously regressed but he is only seven and there are still more races in him. But he wont get many more better chances than today.

    Good luck.

    Thanks Q.C.
I can't see that Easterby would perservere with the horse if there were not any wins to come .
He is a master at keeping that handbrake on until he knows his money is safe.
He don't get it wrong often.
Looking at the horse's form....It is only just over 3 months ago, that Afandem was beaten just 3/4 length by 2 x 80+ rated horses.
Like you say Q.C. if today is not the day......Maybe the horse will have to go...He won't find it any easier than this.

Great to see you posting QC Sir. With reference to your comment above, does that mean that you have now dispensed of Tashgheel? Runs in a C4 sprint today off a mark of 78 (plus a handy 5lb claimer) and surely gets the cut in the ground that you suggested he may appreciate.

    Hello mate, hope you're well,

Tashgeel will win races mate and is not without an outside chance today. And as you say, he will appreciate the softer ground although the wide draw isnt ideal. But the handicapper is taking his time dropping him and he has to put a very disappointing run last time out behind him.
    But he will win races.

The reason i had a clear out (and i do it every year) is that the flat season is coming to a close and i have been stocking up on the jumpers in readiness for the winter.

    I'm good thanks mate.
Thanks for the feedback on Tashgheel, draw not ideal. Probably a few more pounds to come off yet I guess. Will be interesting to watch.
Look forward to reading your posts Mate. Take care.

Cheers, but dont expect too many posts. I have to admit that i have never been so pissed off with racing as i have been in the past couple of months. I said to my mates at our coffee morning yesterday that i am actually a horse AND racing fan rather than a horse racing fan. What i mean by that is that i love the horses and everything about them. I used to love going down to the pre parade ring and then onto the parade ring to watch them and spot their little habits, traits etc.
And i love the racing and have the utmost respect for all of the jockeys and staff who risk their necks just to keep the show on the road for our entertainment. As i have said many times on here, jockeys are the bravest sports people around bar none !!!

But then we have the other side of racing which i thoroughly detest. The bookmakers are frauds and liars whose sole aim is to get every last penny out of punters by whatever means. And thats usually by trying to lure them to the casinos, slots etc. As far as those scumbags are concerned, they would have every punter playing on those all day long and racing can just go and swivel.
The BHA are a thorough disgrace, the RCA are not much better. The racetracks charge Premier League prices for League 2 facilities and think you should be honoured that they have let you in.
The racing media are shambolic and in the Racing Post we have a paper that ignores anything if it means it might cost them money. Some of the features they run usually look as though they have been written by kids and yet some of the bigger, possibly hard hitting stories are conveniently ignored (Sheik Mohammed/daughter etc).
The TV gravy train riders are an embarrassing bunch and i am finding more and more people who mute their tellys all day long because of the drivel that is churned out.
And it seems that everyone these days is an "expert" and the number of "tips", podcasts etc i see these days on social media is astounding. And having watched and listened to a few that mates have tipped me off about, all i can say is listen to these people at your peril. I have heard some unbelievable nonsense on them and the cretins actually keep a straight face while churning their shit out. They actually believe they know what they are talking about. As far as i am concerned, "tipsters" are just exaggerating liars who should be ignored completely. They will exaggerate the price they say they got on at and then unbelievably claim BOG if it happens to win and drifts. You couldnt make it up.
Do your own thing. It is much more fun and you will be better off as well.

Thats got that off my chest !!!
