Thats the only race i have done so far. I think the handicapper has been very unfair with his treatment of the horse you mention a bit, Silver Tassie. The poor thing hasnt won since March 2017, nearly four years ago !!! And yet all he has come down in that time is 14lb. He has been rated 121 or 122 for his last six starts and has only just been dropped another 2lb down to 119 since his last run when he was beaten 30L. The poor horse is now 13 and wont get many more opportunities to finally win another race.

I'll be on the fav in the 130. Unlucky not to win last time out
The missus and I had a drive out to Middleham and the surrounding area back in the summer when travelling was allowed and went past Mark Johnstons stables along with Ben Haslams, Stef Kenirys and a couple of others and we werent too far from Sir Mickys. I've just watched the weather forecast and that neck of the woods got down to -10 and -11 during the night.
There might be a few non runners from some of those stables today
And just to add insult to injury, the handicapper put it up 5lb.
It looks an easier race as well but the horse is 0/14 including its point so, as per normal, i looked for the bigger priced each way alternative.

Yeah I realised that you would be. I think it was carrying 2lb overweight last time out but also had a claimer on so all in all the waters are well and truly muddied when it comes to what may or may not be a winnable mark.

Sir Micky won the race last year with Blue Hussar and goes for the repeat. The horse is 3lb higher this time round but he did run well on its next outing which was also over C?D when running off a 3lb higher mark than tomorrow.Yeah I realised that you would be
The fav obviously has to go well but the gaffer () has cast her eye over my notes and she is backing Rockhamton each way and is going to have a fcst with that one to be second to yours. The run of Rockhamton last time out behind Sizable Sam got a boost when that one won again last week and is now up to a mark of 131. That was only Rockhamton's third ever run so it is going to improve again and the step up in trip wont come amiss.

The snow is still around, the roads are terrible and the temperature got down to around -10 last night in the Middleham area.
But Sir Micky has managed to get his two entries today out of the yard and on their way to the races.
