    General Golf Thread

Maybe it's just me but I think one of these could be handy cause the one off threads for individual tournaments don't get much traffic.

For this week I'm delighted my blind faith in Tiger is about to make me a few nice Benjamins (currently 7/2). Cert alive ....... Maybe.

Ha I know his back looks at him too, I only had a nibble for the interest. Had a look at Duffner myself too. If it's not gonna be Tiger he's definitely the person I'd like to win it

It was great alright. To put in a bogey-free round was ultra impressive.

Great win for him, he hit a few beautiful shots, backed him at 9/1 before yesterdays round.

Jason Day is the standout bet for me. Would be great to see him win a major. Hard to see McIlroy coming back on top form and Spieth hasn't been on top form in recent weeks, albeit he does seem to save his best form for the majors. Dustin Johnson will probably go close but he always does something stupid, even though he won't have to contend with his favourite bunker this time.

    Top GB and Ireland [USPGA]

    Marc Warren

    Each Way @ 40-1 [Boylesports] 1/4 123

Big odds for a player who is consistent and has good record in this major

Brilliant by Day. Delighted for him.
For a man who had come close in majors a few times already he seemed to show no nerves (unlike dustin)
Some great battles ahead between day, spieth and Mcilroy.
Incredible year by spieth though it must be said; hard to imagine someone having a better year in the majors for a long time.

Day has to be worth another go this week. Apart from a couple of holes near the end of last week he drove the ball incredibly well again last week and this course will suit a big hitter. Dustin Johnson could be worth an e/w bet despite my comments on him last time.

Day had an off week a fortnight ago but he's back with a bang this week
Great to see three players at the top of the rankings, each of whom looks like they would completely dominate the game a la tiger if only the other two weren't around. Day deserves the no 1 spot on form and should have it soon enough

    Alfred Dunhill [Thursday]

    Hennie Otto

    Top 20 Finish @ 7-2 [Betfair Sports]

Expecting a big week for this local player...the early 100-1 outright was massive
