Two bets for me tomorrow on two horses with related form. In the recent Lennox Stakes at Goodwood, Space Blues won handily with Duke Of Hazzard staying on in second. Space Blues now goes for a G1 at Deauville. He was third in the race last year as a 3yo but looks significantly improved this summer. Has some sharp youngsters to beat but 11/2 looks much too big to me. He'll go very close.

As for Duke Of Hazzard, prior to his second in that Lennox Stakes, he was a decent third to Mohaather at Ascot, who of course then followed up with a high class performance in the Sussex Stakes. Duke Of Hazzard has his sights lowered now for a G3 at Salisbury. It's a decent quality field for this level and this track but Duke Of Hazzard has a very fair chance. He will appreciate going back up to a mile and last season he improved from race to race and did all his winning at this time of the year.

If one of them is underestimated in the market, then maybe they both are, so I'm doubling them up too.

Cheers man. A very nice win for Space Blues after momentarily looking like he might get stuck in traffic.

But then Duke Of Hazzard was a really disappointing last of eight. It was confusing after the line when the commentator called my horse as finishing in second place. I wondered if I had been watching the wrong horse the whole time. But no, the professional whose job it is to know which horse is which had it wrong, while I, the thicko amateur watching the race on my phone and having one eye on the Formula 1 at the same time, knew that Duke Of Hazzard hadn't troubled the judge at all.

Great to see Malone Road back on track tomorrow at Ballinrobe. He looked an absolute top class horse two years ago when winning a couple of bumpers before being sidelined with knee injuries. I rated him better than Envoi Allen that season and we know how good he is. Of course, horses often don't come back from bad injuries with the same ability but hopefully this lad can show his potential. I won't be backing him at 1/4 or whatever but it'll be an interesting watch. 5:10pm race.
